Imperfections, we all have them. I certainly can name several. I think my least favorite physical imperfection are my eyes -- with their squinty slant, mousy color, slowly multiplying wrinkles, always-there bags, and thinning eye lashes, both beautifully framed by my bushy unkempt coarse eyebrows. My least favorite non-physical imperfection is my tendency to interrupt people -- I know I do it, I try to contain it, I apologize.
The funny thing is that lately, I really like who I am -- the skin I'm in, the attitude that is me. I look back over my life and it seems that I've spent alot of time not really liking me -- what I wouldn't give now to have that 20 year old body and life undefined and ready to be conquered. Yet, at the time I know I was shy, not confident, not pretty, not daring. Maybe it's age and wisdom, maybe I've just finally come into my own. I met a belly dancer once who claimed she loved her poochy belly -- it represented her children and the effect that carrying them to term had on her body. I'm not quite there yet -- I can't truly say I love all my imperfections. But I do recognize that they are a part of me, that they make me who I am and while I'm sure I'll always strive to fix a few, I have better things to do, places to go, experiences to savor.

Great bits of wisdom! Wasn't it a great subject to think about?
This is fantastic. I love the photo and I love your take on the prompt too.
I always think..Where'd that 25 year old girl go but then when I think about it..she was so shy and not confident where as the 38 year is.
I'll take that confidence any day..with wrinkles and all!!
I love your photo and your journalling is straight from the heart and honest, made me think a bit, I am off to do my homework and write in my note book xxx
